Today is International Women's Day. We don't need a day to remind us that Women who Sail and the Men who Sail with them are AWESOME! When it comes to sailing the best crews aren't based on gender or age they are based on the best person for the team dynamic and position. Sometimes those sailors just need a chance and someone to believe in them. As a Sport and Industry times are changing. So thank you to those who aren't surprised when a Woman can service a winch, talk rope, do gelcoat repairs, call the breeze, are awesome at end for end gybes, drive it like she stole it or is the BOAT OWNER!
Worth the drive to see these guys come 2nd at Sprints!!! Even though they had to carry their own podium 🤣
The first boat I ever sailed on when I was apparently just days old. She looks so beautiful but a bit smaller to me now. So very happy to see her looking so amazing. My Grandpa would be so very very very happy. I am. Animus was named after Defiance and why I had blue shirts and spinnaker.
